Micromax had launched the Unite 3 few days back which is the successor for Unite 2 which was launched in India last year. Unite 2 was a huge success in India and the company is looking forward to repeat this with Unite 3. The Unite 3 comes with slightly upgraded specs when compared to Unite 2. The phone features a 4.7 inch WVGA display (480 X 854 pixels) and is powered by a 1.3Ghz Quad core processor with 1GB RAM.
The phone also has 8GB internal storage included which is expandable via microSD card. The phone comes with 8MP rear camera and 2MP front camera. Here is the unboxing of the device along with first impressions.
Here is the unboxing video:

Design wise, the phone looks very similar to the Unite 2 with curved rear panels all round. The rear panel has a matte finish and looks decent. The power and volume keys are placed on the right side, 3.5 mm audio jack on the top and the micro USB charging slot at the bottom. The front panel has the three capacitive buttons, 4.7 inch display and also front camera. The rear panel is removable and comes with dual SIM card slot along with micro SD card.
The display on the device is a 4.7 inch WVGA panel which is kind of disappointing as most of the devices in this category now sport HD or qHD displays. The display on Unite 3 is disappointing and you can clearly see the pixeltions. The touch response was average, but there is Corning Gorilla Glass on the display.
The phone packs a 8MP rear camera with LED flash and a 2MP front camera for video calls. There has been an upgrade to the camera from Unite 2. The phone comes with 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage. The performance was decent with Android 5.0 Lollipop. The UI is mostly stock with some apps included by Micromax.
The phone is officially priced Rs 6999 and available both online as well as office. We will have the detailed review of the phone soon, so stay tuned and subscribe to our YouTube channel for all updates.
