Coolpad made an entry into India with two devices, the Dazen 1 and Dazen X7. Dazen 1 is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and has a 5 inch HD display (1280 X 720p) and the device comes with 2GB of RAM along with 8GB of built –in storage. It sports an 8-megapixel rear camera with a f/2.2 lens and LED flash. It also features a 5-megapixel FF front camera. It is backed by a 2500mAh battery, along with extended battery up to 50%. The phone will be available in Moon Dust grey and baby snow-white colours.
The Dazen 1 runs on Android 4.4 with the Cool UI and has 4G LTE support in India. Here is the unboxing and first impressions of the device.

Design wise, the Dazen 1 is a good looking device and has resemblance to Redmi 2 in terms of looks. The phone features a matte finish rear panel and comes with good quality. The phone has power key on the right side, while the volume keys are positioned on the left side. The 3.5 mm audio jack is on the top while the micro USB charging slot is at the bottom. The rear panel has a the 8MP camera, flash and the Coolpad logo along with speaker located at the bottom.
The front panel has the 5 inch HD display, three capacitive buttons, front 5 MP camera and the sensors. The phone does feel solid in hands with good build quality.
The device sports a 5 inch HD display (1280 X 720p) and the display is pretty sharp and has good colors. The viewing angles are also pretty decent. The touch response from the display is good and is smooth. The phone comes with support for dual SIM cards and 4G LTE support in India. There is 8GB internal storage, out of which 3.8GB is available, but you can expand the storage via microSD card.
The phone runs on Snapdragon 410 Quad core chipset with 2GB RAM and the performance looks pretty good in the first use. We will have details on performance when we review the phone. The phone also comes with 8MP rear camera and a front 5MP camera for selfies and video calls. The phone comes with Android 4.4.4 KitKat with a custom UI on top of it called Cool UI. There are added features being offered on this UI.
