XOLO has announced their new device called Black and this will be competing in the mid range with Xiaomi’s Mi4i and also ASUS Zenfone 2. The phone comes with a 5.5-inch IPS OGS display with a resolution of 1920 x 10800 pixels and a pixel density of 401 PPI. The front and rear panels are protected by corning Gorilla Glass 3.
The device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 Octa core processor which is a 64-Bit processor. This is the same processor which powers Xiaomi’s Mi4i. The phone also comes with 2GB RAM and 16Gb storage. The internal storage is expandable via micro SD card, but it is a hybrid which means the second SIM card slot acts as a micro SD card slot as well.
The XOLO Black boasts of dual rear (13MP + 2MP) camera that work in tandem to focus faster as well as capture more depth. The phone also features a front 5MP camera with flash which should please the selfie crowd. The phone also comes with Chromaflash and Adobe Photo Studio preinstalled. While the Snapdragon 615 is known for heating issues, XOLO claims that they spent time in thermal management of the phone making the phone run 30% cooler than competing devices.
Black by XOLO comes with Android 5.0 Lollipop with Hive UI which is a custom UI from the company. The phone is just 7.3mm thick and looks good in terms of the design. The phone also features a 3200mAh battery which is pretty good. Black by Xolo is priced at Rs 12,999 and will be exclusively available on Flipkart from 13th July.
