After the huge success of A6000, A6000 Plus and A7000, Lenovo announced their mid range phone, the K3 Note. The Lenovo K3 Note comes with 5.5 inch Full HD display (1920 X 1080P) and has a IPS panel with a pixel density of 401ppi. The device is powered by 1.7Ghz Tru Octa Core Mediatek MT6752 processor which is also a 64 bit processor. It has the Mali-T760MP2 along with 2GB RAM.
The phone also comes with 16GB internal storage which is expandable via micro SD card. The processor is the same which powered the Lenovo A7000 and we saw great performance. Here is the unboxing and the first impressions of the device.
Inside the box:
- Lenovo K3 Note
- Manual
- USB cable
- Charger
- Screen guard
- Battery
Here is the unboxing video:
Design wise, the device looks very similar to the smaller A7000 (Review) and it is quite difficult to identify them when place together. The K3 Note is pretty slim compared to the competition and looks sleek as well. The build quality is really good with a matte finish rear panel. The device feels good in hands. The power and volume keys have chrome finish and are located on the right side. The 3.5mm audio jack is on the top while the micro USB charging slot is at the bottom.
The rear panel has the 13MP with LED flash, Lenovo logo and the speaker. Although the phone comes with Dolby Atmos, the speakers do not offer them and if you want to experience it you need to use the earphones. The front panel has the 5.5 inch Full HD display, front camera and the three capacitive buttons at the bottom. Sadly, the buttons are not backlit.
The display on the device looks pretty good with vibrant colors and the touch response was also pretty good. The viewing angles were also pretty decent, but sadly there is no Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection on the display. The phone comes with dual SIM card and has 4G LTE support. The phone also comes with 16GB internal storage which is expandable via micro SD card. The storage available in the first boot is around 9.8GB which is on the lower side.
The phone is powered by 1.7Ghz Tru Octa Core Mediatek MT6752 processor and there is 2GB RAM. The performance was very good on the device and did not have any lags in the first use. The phone also comes with 2900mAh battery which should be decent for a day of usage. The K3 Note will compete with Meizu M1 Note, Xiaomi Mi4i and also ASUS Zenfone 2. Lenovo has had great success with A6000 Plus and also A7000, so the company is banking on K3 Note to power its mid range portfolio.
The device is priced Rs 9999 and available on Flipkart. We will have the detailed review coming up on our blog soon, meanwhile do check out our YouTube channel for more videos on this device.
