Ever since the release of Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime, there hasn’t been any devices in the mid range segment from the company. But now the company is strengthening the mid range with two new devices, the Samsung Galaxy J5 and J7. The Samsung Galaxy J7 features a 5.5 inch HD display (1280 X 720p) IPS display and is powered by 64-bit 1.5 GHz Exynos 7580 Octa-Core processor with 1.5GB RAM. The phone also comes with 16GB internal storage and it is expandable to 128GB via microSD card.
The new series of phones are focused on selfies and they come with 5MP front camera with LED flash.
The phone also features a 13MP rear camera with f/1.9 aperture and LED flash. The device is powered by Android 5.1 Lollipop with the custom UI from Samsung. The phone supports 4G LTE in India and has 3000mAh battery included. The device also comes with dual SIM card support.
On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy J5 has similar specs, but a smaller display and packs a 5 inch HD IPS panel (1280 X 720p). It is powered by Snapdragon 410 Quad core processor with 1.5GB RAM. It also comes with 8GB internal storage which is expandable. The software on the J5 is the same and it packs a smaller 2600mAh battery. The camera is same as that of J7.
The Samsung Galaxy J5 is priced Rs 11999 while the J7 retails for Rs 14999 and both these devices will be exclusive to Flipkart and will be available for sale on July 23rd. Pre-booking for the smartphones will start today at 4:00PM. As an introductory offer, buyers will get a flipcover worth Rs 999 for Rs 199 only.
