Google had officially launched the Android One Platform last year and the aim of this platform was to provided devices with Nexus like stock experience at affordable price in the emerging markets. The first set of devices were launched in India by Micromax, Spice and Karbonn Mobiles. We also reviewed the Micromax canvas A1 which was released last year.
Now the second series of devices are coming with the latest Android 5.1 Lollipop and Lava Mobiles has launched their first ever Android One device, the Lava Pixel V1. The phone comes with a 5.5 inch HD (1280 X 720p) display wtih ASAHI Dragon Trail glass and is powered by Mediatek MT6582 Quad core processor.
The phone comes with 2GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage which is expandable to 32GB. The phone also features 13MP camera f/2.0 with LED flash and 8MP front camera for selfies. The device has a slim body with good screen to body ratio and just 135gms in weight. The phone runs on the latest Android 5.1 Lollipop and will be upgradable to newer versions when it releases.
The phone is 3G enabled and does not feature 4G LTE. There is also USB OTG support on the device. The battery capacity is at 2560mAh which is slightly on the lower side. The phone is priced Rs 11350 and will be available across retail store and also available online exclusively on Flipkart.
