Along with the announcement of Moto G and also Moto X Style, the company has also announced a mid range phone, the Moto X Play. Moto X Play features a 5.5inch Full HD Display and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 Octa core 64 bit processor coupled with 2GB RAM.
Moto X Play will fill the gap between the new affordable Moto G and the flagship Moto X Style.
One of the standout feature of Moto X Play is the massive 3,630mAh battery. Motorola says that the phone will be able to stand 48 hours on single charge and there is also quick charging available on the phone. The device is also water resistant.
On the imaging front, the company has used the same camera on Moto X Style and features a 21MP rear camera and 5MP front camera for selfies. There is 4G LTE available on the device. Moto X Play will also have support for Moto Maker.
The phone runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop and will be offering the stock Android experience similar to other Motorola phones. Moto X Play will be available starting in August in various countries across Europe, Latin America, and Canada. The phone will not be sold in US. There is no mention on the official pricing of the device.
