Motorola had earlier announced the new Moto G (3rd Generation) and it will go on sale today. The company has also announced the successor of Moto X, the new Moto X Style. Moto X Style comes with a 5.7 inch Quad HD display and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 Hexa Core processor. The phone will come with front facing speakers and will have the option to customize it with Moto Maker.
It has 3GB for RAM, and comes in 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB storage options, expandable with a microSD card, which is a first for the Moto X series.
Moto X Style will feature a 21MP rear camera with a ƒ/2.0 aperture which is capable of capturing 4K video capture and features dual CCT flash. The front-facing camera is a 5MP shooter with an 87-degree wide-angle-lens. The Moto X Style will also come with a front-facing flash. Motorola calls the camera on the Moto X Style as best in class and promises the best experience.
The Moto X style will run Android 5.1.1 out of the box and will provide stock Android experience.
In the battery department, Motorola has gone with a 3,000mAh battery, with Motorola estimating up to 30 hours of mixed use. The Moto X Style also includes a TurboPower 25 charger, for faster battery charging. Motorola also calls this world’s fastest charging smartphone will get 10 hours of power in just 15 minutes of charging with TurboPower.
We will have to wait and see how the TurboPower works.
In the US, it will be available as a Pure Edition and will be available with multiple carriers. Moto X Style will start at $399 and will be available in stores in US. The global availability will be in September.
