Last month Samsung had announced their slimmest smartphone ever, the Galaxy A8. The device has now launched in India. Samsung Galaxy A8 packs a 5.7 inch Full HD (1920 X 1080P) AMOLED display and runs on Octa-Core Exynos 5430 processor. The global variant was announced with the 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 615 processor. The phone features 2GB of RAM and there is 16GB internal storage along with microSD card support up to 128GB.
This is the 4th device in the A series and features full metal uni-body design and is just 5.9mm thick. It also has an integrated fingerprint sensor on the home button.
The runs on the the most recent version of Samsung’s TouchWiz on top of Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. On the imaging front, the device packs a 16MP rear camera with LED flash and f/1.9 aperture. There is also a front facing 5MP camera for selfies and video calls. The device has extremely thin bezels making the device look premium.
The phone has 4G LTE connectivity and a 3,050mAh battery. Samsung Galaxy A8 comes in Black, White and Gold colors and is priced at Rs. 32,500. The phone will be available in online and offline stores across India.
