Sony has announced two new high end devices in the M and C series, the Sony Xperia M5 and Xperia C5 Ultra. The Xperia M5 is a water proof device, while the C5 Ultra focuses on better selfie experience. The Sony Xperia M5 comes with a 5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD IPS display and features Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2. The device is powered by 2.2 GHz MediaTek Helio X10 (MT6795T) Octa-Core 64-bit processor coupled with 3GB of RAM.
There is 16GB internal storage available, which is expandable via micro SD card. On the imaging front, the phone packs a 21.5-megapixel rear camera with Hybrid Autofocus, LED flash, 4K video recording and also a 13MP front camera for great selfie experience.
The phone runs Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box and comes with dual SIM card support and 4G LTE. It is also water and dust-proof (IP65/IP68) with a cap-less USB port. It also has 2600mAh battery with STAMINA mode.
The Sony Xperia C5 Ultra features a massive 6 inch Full HD display (1920 X 1080p) with just 0.8mm slim bezels. It is powered by octa-core MediaTek MT6752 with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage which is expandable. The phone packs a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and also a 13MP front-facing camera with Selfie flash.
Xperia C5 Ultra comes with 2930mAh battery, 4G LTE support, Android 5.0 and dual SIM cards.
The Sony Xperia M5 comes in Gold, Black and White colors, while the Sony Xperia C5 Ultra comes in black, white and a glossy soft mint colors. Both the devices will roll out in selected countries across emerging markets from mid-August. There is no word on the pricing yet.
