Gionee’s Marathon series phones have had large capacity batteries and we had reviewed the Marathon M3 (read review) last year. Now the company has announced the new Marathon M4 with massive 5000mAh battery. The Marathon M4 is the successor of Marathon M3 and comes with 5.5 inch HD display (1280 X 720p) and is powered by is powered by 1.3 GHZ Quad core 64 bit processor from Mediatek.
The device comes with 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage which is expandable via micro SD card.
Marathon M4 runs on the Android 5.0 with custom UI called amigo3.0 and a specially designed Music player. The device also comes in with ‘Hotknot’ feature which allows two phones to exchange photos and videos in an instant as long as the two screens are put together. Gionee Marathon M4 has an 8 Mega Pixel rear camera with LED flash and Front facing 5.0 Mega pixel camera option.
Powered by 5000 mAh battery the M4 provides upto 50 Hrs of talk time and 440 Hrs of standby time. The 4G LTE enabled M4 supports Dual 4G SIMs along with OTG connectivity. Gionee Marathon M4 is available in two colors including White and Black for its Indian customers. The device is priced 15,499/-.
