Back in May, Meizu entered India with the launch of M1 Note (Review) and the device was priced Rs 11999 and did offer great value for money. Meizu launched the M2 Note in June in China and now the company has annouunced the device in India. The Meizu M2 Note has similar specs, features and design as that of M1 Note but comes with some upgrades.
The new M2 Note comes with 5.5 inch Full HD display similar to the M1 Note. The device is powered by a 1.3Ghz MT6753 Octa Core processor from MediaTek which is a 64 bit processor along with Mali-T720GPU. There is 2GB RAM included in the device.
The phone comes in 16GB and 32GB internal storage options along with support for micro SD card which was missing on the first generation.
The phone also comes with 13MP rear camera with dual LED flash and a front facing 5MP camera. The device comes with 4G LTE support and the second SIM card slot acts as a micro SD card slot as well.
The device comes pre-installed with Android 5.1 Lollipop with the company’s Flyme UI on top of Google’s operating system. There is also 3100mAh battery included in the phone. Another interesting aspect of the device is that it comes with a physical home button below the display, and will be available in Blue, White, Rose and Gray color options. The phone resembles its predecessor in many ways, though the physical home button does differentiate it to some extent. The phone weighs 149g and is 8.7mm thin.
Similar to the first generation device, the M2 Note is also exclusive to Amazon and will be available starting August 10th for a price of Rs 9999. The pricing is pretty good considering that K3 Note with similar specs is priced Rs 9999 and Yureka Plus is priced Rs 8999.
