Phicomm had launched their first device in India, the Passion 660 (review) back in June and it was available on Amazon for a price of Rs 10999. Now the company has entered the budget segment with the launch of new Energy 653. The new Phicomm Energy 653 comes with a 5 inch HD display (1280 X 720p) and it runs on the new Snapdragon 210 Quad core chipset and features 1GB of RAM.
The Snapdragon 210 is the newest chipset in the 2XX series and this features 4G LTE support. This entry-level chipset is intended for low-cost phones.
The Phicomm Energy 653 has 8GB of internal storage which is expandable via micro SD card. The phone runs on Android 5.1.1 which is the latest version and the company has gone with the latest version of Android which is pretty good as not too many devices in the budget segment have Android Lollipop. The phone has 8MP rear camera and 2MP front camera for photography needs.
The phone comes with dual SIM card slot and has 4G LTE support in India. There is also a 2230mAh battery included in the phone.
