At the IFA 2015, ASUS has announced a new VivoStick PC, which is basically a PC inside the stick and you can connect it to compatible TV or monitor. This is basically a PC you can carry in your pocket and connect to any suitable HDMI port and use Windows 10.
This is powered by an Intel Cherry Trail processor and uses Intel graphics, so the VivoStick is basically not for high end work and will not match high end desktops. But the advantage is that you can carry it in your pocket.
This tiny device comes with 2GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, plus two USB ports and a headphone jack which should be suitable for browsing and causal work when connected to a TV or a monitor. Since it comes with two USB ports, you can connect a keyboard and mouse for convenient usage.
The other features include availability of a 802.11 b/g/n and BT 4.0 chip for communications. The 138mm x 15mm x 14mm package weighs 70g and it is compact. The VivoStick also comes in multiple colours. It runs on Windows 10 out of the box and provides you with the latest software experience and since it has 32GB storage you should be able to install decent amount of apps as well.
There is no official confirmation on the price, but the pricing seems to be $129. Although this is decent for causal work, this device cannot be a replacement for normal desktops.
