With more than a million selfies taken every day, Selfie has become an obsession with smartphone users. Mobile OEMs are now capturing market with more and more selfie focused smartphones. Lenovo has joined the bandwagon with the new Vibe S1 smartphone announced at IFA 2015 in Berlin. The Lenovo Vibe S1 is the world’s first selfie focused smartphone with dual front cameras.
The front dual camera set up comes with a 8MP camera which captures the images and there is also a 2MP camera for analysing the depth of field for bookeh effects. This is similar to the dual camera set up on Honor 6 Plus and also the phones from HTC. This way, you will be able to refocus the selfies once you have taken it making the whole experience better.
On the other specs, the Vibe S1 features a 5 inch Full HD Display and is powered by 64-bit MediaTek MT6752 Octa-Core processor coupled with 3GB of RAM. Design wise, the Vibe S1 looks pretty good. There is also 13MP rear camera with autofocus and dual tone LED flash. The internal storage is at 32GB which is expandable via micro SD card similar to other devices.
The phone runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop and will come with 4G LTE support similar to other Lenovo phones. The device comes in two colors Pearl White and Midnight Blue. The device will be available starting November across the globe and will be priced $299.
