Micromax had launched their budget device, the Canvas Spark few months back and the device was priced Rs 4999. The Canvas Spark was a good device for the price and it went on to become a hugely popular budget device with more than half a million sales in 2 months time.
Now the company has released the new Canvas Spark 2 which is even cheaper than the first variant at Rs 3999. The device comes with a 5-inch FWVGA (854 X 480p) display and is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor. There is no mention on the RAM available on this device. The phone runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop.
On the camera front the phone has a 5MP fixed-focus camera with LED flash and a 2MP front-facing camera. Overall, the specs have been cut down for this ultra budget device. The company says that the device is the most affordable 3G device with a 5 inch display.
The phone has dual SIM card and micro SD card support to expand the memory to 32GB. The internal storage is at 4GB which might not be really useful for a smartphone especially if you install a lot of apps. The battery capacity is at 1800mAh.
Similar to Canvas Spark, the Spark 2 is exclusive to Snapdeal and comes in black color. The handset will go on sale in its first flash sale starting September 30 at 12 noon on Snapdeal. The registration for it will begin on Wednesday at 10am.
