Xiaomi had launched Mi4i back in April, which was the first global launch in India. There has been lot of rumours of late about another variant of Mi4i, called the Mi4c ever since it appeared in benchmarks. Xiaomi has today officially announced the new Mi4c in China. The phone has lot of similarities with respect to the Mi4i, mostly in terms of the design.
Spec wise, the phone comes with a 5 inch Full HD (1080p) display and is powered by the Snapdragon 808 hexa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz. This is an upgrade from the Snapdragon 615 on the Mi4i. The phone has 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage. There is also a 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage variant available.
Another important aspect about the device is that it comes with USB C type port. After OnePlus, Xiaomi has also gone in for USB C-Type port on their smartphone. The phone is powered by Android 5.0 Lollipop with custom MIUI on top of it. On the camera, the phone has a 13MP rear camera with dual tone LED flash and 5MP front camera for selfies and video calls.
Xiaomi Mi4c also comes with double tap to wake, a feature now available on most custom ROMs. The phone packs a 3080mAh battery which should be good enough for daily use. The phone has dimensions of 138.1 x 69.6 x 7.8 mm and weighs around 132 grams. As of now we do not have any information on whether this device will be coming to India.
Pricing in China is RMB 1299 (US$204) for 2GB RAM and 16GB Flash, and RMB 1499 (US$235) for 3GB RAM and 32GB Flash.
