Google had announced the latest version of Android, the Marshmallow update also called as Android 6.0 and the Nexus 5X and 6P are the devices rolling out with this update. Motorola has today announced the list of devices which will be getting this new update. Even last year, the company had announced the list of devices whcih would be getting the Lollipop update.
Motorola devices comes with mostly stock like experience and this is one of the reasons their devcies are pretty popular. The company has announced 11 devices which will be getting this update and this includes Moto X, Moto G and also Moto MAXX, Moto Turbo.
Here is the list of device getting Marshmallow update:
- 2015 Moto X Pure Edition (3rd gen)
- 2015 Moto X Style (3rd gen)
- 2015 Moto X Play
- 2015 Moto G (3rd gen)
- 2014 Moto X Pure Edition in the US (2nd gen)
- 2014 Moto X in Latin America, Europe and Asia (2nd gen)
- 2014 Moto G and Moto G with 4G LTE (2nd gen)
- DROID Turbo
- 2014 Moto MAXX
- 2014 Moto Turbo
- Nexus 6
One surprising omission in this list is the Moto E (2015), both the 3G and 4G LTE versions which were released early this year.
The company also confirmed that they will be removing couple of Moto branded apps like Moto Assist and Moto Migrate, as these features are now available in Marshmallow by default. As of now the company has now revealed any dates for release of the update. But going by last year standards, we do not expect this update to happen this year.
The updates could be rolled out early next year.
