After releasing the first Tizen OS based smartphone, the Samsung Z1, earlier this year, the company has now launched the second device running the updated Tizen. The Samsung Z3 runs on Tizen 2.3 and comes with a 5 inch HD (1280 X 720p) SUPER AMOLED display and is powered by 1.3 GHz quad-core Speadtrum processor coupled with 1GB of RAM.
The phone also comes with 6GB internal storage which can be expanded to 128GB using SD card. The Z3 is far better in terms of specs when compared to Z1 which was more of a budget smartphone.
The phone runs on Tizen OS 2.3 and will come with its own app store and there are pre-loaded apps which includes most of the social apps. There is an 8MP rear camera with LED Flash and a front-facing 5MP camera for selfies and video calls. Similar to the Galaxy J2, the Z3 also comes with Ultra data saving mode which uses lesser data across all contents.
The phone also comes with dual SIM cards, but there is no 4G LTE support. It can connect only to 3G along with Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi. It also comes with 2600mAh battery. The Samsung Z3 will be available starting October 21 in three colors- Gold, Black and White. In India it will be online exclusively on Snapdeal for INR 8,500 ($130) and it will also be available in retail stores. It will come with 1GB of free data for two months for Vodafone customers.
