Alcatel has today announced their new budget smartphone which is a camera centric phone, the Flash 2. Alcatel Flash 2 comes with a 5 inch HD (1280 X 720 P) display with 294 ppi and is powered by Octa-Core 64-bit MediaTek processor coupled with 2GB of DDR3 RAM. The phone comes with 16GB internal storage which is expandable via micro SD card.
The main feature of the phone is the 13MP gSight rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, dual-tone LED flash and Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF) and this would help in faster auto focus. There is also a 5MP front-facing camera with LED flash for better selfie experience.
The phone comes with dual SIM card support along with 4G LTE support in India. On the software side, the Flash 2 runs Android 5.1 Lollipop. There’s a 3000mAh battery on board the Alcatel Flash 2, which as the company claims, can last for 25 hours on a single charge on 2G network. The sub 10k price point is highly competitive with lots of new players which are focusing on the camera. Recently we unboxed the Coolpad Note 3 priced Rs 8999 and comes with 3GB RAM.
The phone is priced at Rs. 9,299. The smartphone will go on sale via Flipkart from October 27.
