HTC has announced its latest smartphone in the premium segment, the HTC One A9. HTC One A9 has been in leaks for quite some time and there has been lot of discussions on the resemblance of this device to iPhone 6S. The all new HTC One A9 comes with a 5 inch AMOLED screen with 1080p (Full HD) resolution and is the first device to run on the Snapdragon 617 chip.
The Snapdragon 617 SoC employs an octa-core processor with four Cortex-A53 cores at 1.5GHz and another four A53 running at 1.2GHz along with Adreno 405 GPU.
The phone is coupled with either a 2GB or 3GB RAM based on the version. The display has 2.5D Gorilla Glass 4 protective glass and the phone has a unibody design made of metal. The antenna lines on the rear panel definitely looks a lot like the new iPhones. The phone comes with 16GB or 32GB internal storage option along with micro SD card expansion slot.
The phone comes with Android 6.0 Marshmallow and it is the first non-Nexus phone to come with latest version of Android. On the imaging front, the One A9 comes with 13MP sensor with optical image stabilization and 1080p video recording and it also supports RAW capturing and Hyperlapse (stabilized time-lapse) videos. The front snapper has a 4MP UltraPixel sensor and a F/2.0 aperture.
There is also 4G LTE support along with high-power DAC which promises unmatched audio experience. Home key of the HTC One A9 doubles as an always-on fingerprint scanner, which can be used to unlock your device even while the display is turned off.
The battery capacity is at 2,150 mAh battery and it supports Quick Charge 2.0 (and 3.0).
HTC One A9 will be available in Topaz Gold, Carbon Gray, Opal Silver and Deep Garnet colors and will be available in the first week of November for a price of $399.
