After launching the flagship device MX5 and budget the Meizu M2 Note, the company announced the new affordable Meizu m2 in India. Meizu m2 comes with a 5-inch HD display (1280 x 720p) and there is GFF full lamination technology which minimizes reflection and improves display quality. The phone is powered by a 1.3Ghz Mediatek 64-bit MT6735 Quad-core processor and Mali-T720 GPU.
Meizu m2 is made from a polycarbonate unibody, which makes it uniform and light. Here is the unboxing and first impressions of Meizu m2.

Design wise, the Meizu m2 has a lot of resemblance with the M1 Note launched back in May 2015 in India. The phone comes with curved rear panels and glossy finishing along with the single navigational button. The power and volume keys are placed on the right side. Top houses the 3.5mm audio jack, while the micro USB charging slot along with speaker and microphone are located at the bottom.
The rear panel has the 13MP camera along with LED flash and the Meizu logo at the bottom. Although the rear panel is made of glossy finished plastics, it feels really good in hands and has great build quality.
The slim bezels around the display make the device compact. The front panel has the 5MP camera on the top and the home button at the bottom. But unlike the touch button on M1 Note, the m2 offers a physical button. Meizu m2 has a unibody polycarbonate chassis and can take two SIM cards with a tray that’s accessed from the side. The phone supports 4G LTE in India.
The device has 5.0 inch HD display which looks very good and has great colors as well. The touch response is also very smooth and the viewing angles are also great. The phone has dual SIM card support with 4G support. There is microSD expansion slot, but it is a hybrid SIM card slot. This means you can either use dual SIM card or one SIM card and a micro SD card. The phone comes with 2500mAh battery included which is non-removable. The phone comes with 16GB internal storage and there is close to 12GB in the first boot.
The phone utilizes the 1.3Ghz Mediatek 64-bit MT6735 Quad-core processor and Mali-T720 GPU. The performance was great in the first use and there was no lag. The phone runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with Flyme OS 4.5 on top of it. The Flyme OS has a polished look and comes with basic tools, but does not include Google apps like Gmail, YouTube and others. The OS gives a completely new look and feel for Android and resembles iOS in many ways.
The phone comes with vibrant colors including white, blue, grey and pink. The device is priced Rs 6999 and available on Snapdeal. We will have the detailed review coming up on our blog soon, meanwhile do check out our YouTube channel for more videos on this device..
