Think of it this way… The Moto X series has a base level of waterproofing (they can get wet, even the manual for the MotoX Play says its ok to “rinse” the phone). Now add in 4 years of a shatterproof screen. It’s got flagship specs, and it’s tougher than nails. Next closest competitor, HTC will give you 1 screen replacement, in the 1st year. The fact is it compares to other flagships, in the same price range (slightly cheaper than say a Samsung), and they make a guarantee no other will dare. I’d say the value is huge in this case. Plus, first generation, this will almost certainly trickle down to other models as time passes.
