OnePlus has announced the new device, the OnePlus X which is an affordable mid range phone. While OnePlus has been bringing only flagship devices at affordable cost, the OnePlus X is a one step down from the flagship category, yet it comes with good specs.
The new OnePlus X comes with 5 inch Full HD AMOLED (1920 X 1080p) display and is powered by the good old Snapdragon 801 Quad core processor with Adreno 330 GPU.

The phone comes with 3GB of RAM and also features 16GB of internal storage which is expandable to 128GB via micro SD card. On the software side, the phone is powered by Android 5.1.1 Lollipop and has the custom Oxygen OS from the company.
On the imaging front the OnePlus X features a 13MP camera with LED flash, ISOCELL sensor and phase detection auto focus. The phone can also record videos in 1080p and there is 5MP front camera for selfies and video calls.
There is 2525mAh battery powering the device which we feel is slightly lower comparing to the current market trend. The phone has dimensions of 140×69×6.9mm and weighs 138g. The OnePlus X features a notification slider that changes frequency from “mute” to “priority” to “all.”
There are two variants for the OnePlus X and they differ in the materials used- Onyx and Ceramic (limited edition). The Onyx is priced Rs 16,999 ($249) while the Ceramic edition is priced Rs 22,999 ($369). The ceramic version is made of rugged materials and is scratch resistant. The ceramic version is limited in numbers and the company will be selling only 10000 units.
The Onyx version will be up for grabs on November 5th via Amazon in India (via invite system).
