Wire is a social networking app which allows users to call, message, and share pics, music, videos and more in personal and group conversations. Wire was launched last year and the app was made available for iOS, Android and Mac OS X. Today, the company announced the launch of Windows app.
Wire, which is backed by Skype co-founder Janus Friis and this dedicated app for Windows works with Windows 7, 8.1 and Windows 10.
Previously Windows users had to access Wire using web browser, but now with the dedicated app, using Wire is easier. The interface of the app is also very good and provides a great experience overall.
Some of the features of the app:
- Fast and secure messaging
- Crystal clear, end-to-end encrypted HD calls — in stereo with groups
- Beautiful conversations with pics, sketches, GIFs, YouTube, Spotify and SoundCloud
- Group chats with up to 128 people
The clean and easy to use interface of the app is one of the highlights. Another great feature of the app is the sync, all the chats are synced across multiple apps, so you don’t miss out on any conversation. You can download the app from here.
