Design wise, the Mpow Armor is made of good quality plastic material and looks good. The overall finishing of the speaker is pretty good and it is lightweight, so it pretty easy to carry it around. The front panel has the power and volume keys arranged neatly. There is also a notification light when you power it on.
On the sides, you have two opening, one for USB out which you can use to charge your phone. The second opening is for micro USB charging slot and 3.5mm audio jack. The cable provided in the box can be used for charging the speaker.
There is Mpow branding on the other side of the speaker. The top portion has the speaker unit. Overall, the Mpow is a good looking portable speaker with good build quality.
The speaker is IPX65 certified and hence it is waterproof and also dustproof. Pairing the speaker is simple, just press and hold the power button for 4 seconds and the speaker would be available in Bluetooth settings on your phone or laptop. Once paired you the light flashes to blue color.
The speaker output is pretty good considering the size and we were impressed with the bass performance for an incredibly small unit. This is pretty ideal for listening to music from your laptop or smartphones. The maximum output is also very good if you are using inside a small closed room.
If you have connected the smartphone, you can answer or end the call using the speaker, but since there is no microphone on the speaker, you have to use the phone.
The company claims that you get almost 10 hours of playback, but ideally expect around 6-7 hours based on your usage. If you are using the speaker in wet condition, make sure you have the caps for slots closed properly.
The speaker is priced $35 and available on Gearbest with free shipping to India. You can get one from here. Overall, we would say the speaker has great features and performance for the price and good value for money.
