Xiaomi has today announced the successor of Redmi Note 2, the all new metal Redmi Note 3. When compared to the previous generation Note, there are lots of changes in the new Note. The changes are mostly to the design and materials used. The Redmi Note 3 comes with 5.5 inch Full HD display (1920 X 1080p) and also features the Sunlight display along with reading and night modes.
The phone is powered by the flagship processor from Mediatek, the Helio X10 coupled with 2GB/3GB RAM. The internal storage is either 16GB or 32GB and there is no expansion slot available on the phone.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 is the first Mi phone to get a full metal body and fingerprint sensor. On the imaging front, the device comes with 13MP rear camera with Phase Detection Auto focus and also dual tone LED flash. There is also a 5MP front camera for selfies which also has 36 smart beauty profiles. On the software side the phone comes with MIUI 7 with Android Lollipop.
The fingerprint sensor on the rear panel can unlock the device in 0.3 seconds according to the company.
The phone also comes with 4000mAh battery and has dual SIM card and 4G LTE support. It comes in three colors- Silver, Gold and Dark grey. The device is 8.65mm thin and weighs 164g. The phone comes in two variants- 2GB RAM and 16GB variant is priced RMB 899 (RS 9,400 approx) and the 3GB RAM and 32GB variant is priced RMB 1099 (Rs 11,500).
