Samsung has today announced upgrades to its latest Galaxy A smartphones that offer premium design, easy mobile payment technology, and enhanced camera features. The Galaxy A (2016) incorporates Samsung’s latest in innovative design and technology, giving consumers the ability to expresses their individuality with powerful performance in three screen size options: 5.5-inch for the A7, 5.2-inch for the A5 and 4.7-inch for the A3.
The upgrade A3 (2016), A5 (2016) and A7 (2016) comes with improved specs and features. Top of the line Galaxy A7 comes with a 5.5 inch Full HD SUPER AMOLED display and is powered by 1.6GHz Octa Core processor with 3GB RAM. The phone also comes with 16GB Internal Storage, expanded upto 128GB via micro SD card.
The phone has 3300mAh battery with fast charging, fingerprint scanner and improved 13MP (f1.9) camera with Optical Image stabilization. The front camera is 5MP shooter.
The Samsung Galaxy A5 features a smaller 5.2 inch Full HD SUPER AMOLED display and is powered by 1.6GHz Octa Core processor with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage which can be expanded (up to 128GB) via micro SD slot. The phone also comes with integrated fingerprint scanner, 13MP camera with OIS and also a 2900mAh battery with fast charging.
The low end Galaxy A3 sports only a 4.7 inch HD SUPER AMOLED display and is powered by 1.5 GHz Quad Core processor coupled with 1.5GB RAM and 16GB internal storage which can be expanded up to 128GB via micro SD slot. There is also a 13MP rear camera and front 5MP camera for selfies. The phone also comes with 2300mAh battery.
All the three devices run on Android 5.1 Lollipop with custom Touchwiz UI and has 4G LTE support. The Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A7 (2016) support Samsung Pay, Samsung’s simple, safe and virtually anywhere mobile payment service. Protected by fingerprint verification, Samsung Pay works with both Magnetic Secure Transmission (MST) and Near Filed Communication (NFC) technologies.
The Galaxy A (2016) will be available in China in mid-December 2015 and will be expanded to global markets.
