Lenovo had announced the Vibe S1, the first phone with dual front facing cameras at the IFA 2015 and the device was launched in India couple of months later. We had reviewed the Vibe S1 which is a decent mid range phone.
Now the company has announced a Lite version of Vibe S1. While the Vibe S1 Lite does not have dual front cameras, it does features an 8MP front camera with LED flash for better low light selfies.
The display on the Vibe S1 Lite is the same 5 inch Full HD (1920 X 1080p) display, but is powered by Octa-Core MediaTek MT6753 processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. The device runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with custom Vibe UI.
There is 16GB internal storage when compared to 32GB on the Vibe S1. The storage can be expanded by micro SD card to 128GB and it comes with a hybrid SIM card.
It also comes with a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash and phase-detection auto-focus (PDAF). It also features a 2,700mAh battery which is slightly higher than the S1 Lite. On the connectivity front, the phone has dual-SIM card slots (hybrid), 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS.
The phone is priced $199 which roughly translates to Rs 13200 in India. The device would be coming to India in the next couple of month’s time.
