ASUS has just announced the launch of Zenfone Zoom in India. The device was first showcased in CES 2015 along with Zenfone 2. The company took almost a year to bring this device into production. ASUS claims that the Zenfone Zoom is world’s thinnest 3X optical zoom on a smartphone. ZenFone Zoom is engineered to embed 10-element lenses for 3X Optical Zoom while still keep the device as thin as 11.95mm. It’s the world’s thinnest 3X optical smartphone offering up to 12X zoom-in effect.
The Zenfone Zoom has a 5.5 inch Full HD display (1920 X 1080p) with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 and is powered by 2.5GHz Quad Core 64 bit processor from Intel (Z3590).
The camera is the highlight of the Zenfone Zoom and it features 10-element lenses with 3X optical zoom, optical image stabilization (OIS), laser auto-focus and dual-color Real Tone flash, PixelMaster features include Low Light mode / Backlight (HDR) mode / Enhanced Beautification mode / Manual mode / Zero shutter lag.
The rear camera is 13MP while the front camera is at 5MP. Apart from this, the phone comes with Android Lollipop with Zen UI. The phone has 4GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage included.
It comes with Accelerometer, proximity, ambient-light, gyroscopic, digital compass and Hall-effect sensors.
The phone comes with an aluminium unibody frame and a leather back cover and features a 3000mAh battery.
The device is priced Rs 37,999 for the 128GB version and comes in Black and white colors. ASUS is also offering the Zenfone Zoom with a bundle which includes Zen Flash and tripod which is priced Rs 39,999.
