Cortana debuted on desktop with Windows 10 and it is personal assistant which can create reminders and do other tasks on your desktop. Whether at home or at work, the company has built features that enable Cortana to help you get things done effortlessly.
Microsoft has today announced that Cortana is getting even more better with reminders based on emails.
There are many instances when you sent an email with a commitment, but you often forget those because you never set a reminder. Cortana now comes with ability to float reminders based on your email.
Cortana team has collaborated with MSR (Microsoft Research) to bring this new ability to Cortana to help people better keep track of their commitments.
Along with this, the new update to Cortana also brings in the ability to alert the user about new calendar events which are outside the regular timings. Cortana is intelligent enough to understand how you may uniquely like to work including the hours you like to set meetings and those in which you are most productive. Cortana will alert you that you have a meeting outside of your regular times so that you can take action quickly to move it to a better time.
These new features will be rolled out to Insiders built first and then will be a part of final build. Some of these features are available only in US.
