Oppo Mobiles has debuted the F-series smartphones in India with the launch of Oppo F1. The Oppo F1 is a mid-range selfie focused smartphone with an 8MP front facing camera. The device sports a 5 inch HD (1280 X 720p) display and is powered by Snapdragon 616 octa core processor clocked at 1.7GHz and coupled with a 3GB of RAM.
The phone offers 16GB of internal memory along with an microSD card slot that can be expanded to 128GB.
The speciality of the phone is the 8MP front-facing camera with a wide f/2.0 aperture. It has the capability to turn its entire screen into a selfie flash similar to what is offered by iPhones. The rear camera on the phone is 13MP sensor, with an LED flash, f/2.2 aperture and 1080p recording. The phone also comes with several modes and filters for better selfie experience.
On the connectivity front, the phone has dual-SIM slots, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and USB OTG.
It runs on Android 5.1 with Color OS and has 2500mAh battery included. The phone comes in a premium aluminium unibody design which is just 7.25mm thin. The Oppo F1 comes in Gold variant and is priced Rs 15,990 and we feel the device will have tough competition from Lenovo K4 Note, Honor 5X and also Moto G Turbo, all of these having better specs than the F1.
