Motorola has launched the new Moto X Force in India with Shatterproof display. The Moto X Force is the world’s first smartphone with shatterproof display and was first announced back in November 2015. The phone comes with a 5.4-inch Quad HD (2560×1440 pixels) AMOLED display with a pixel density of 540ppi. The phone is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 octa-core processor and is coupled with with Adreno 430 GPU and 3GB LPDDR4 RAM.
The phone comes in two storage options, the 32GB and the 64GB variant.
The speciality of the device is the shatterproof display and the company has integrated multiple layers of material so that it helps in absorbing the shock and prevents the screen from cracking. The phone is mounted on an aluminum chassis and the company claims the display will be shatterproof for almost 4 years.
The phone storage can also be expanded via micro SD card to 1TB. On the imaging front, the device packs a 21MP f/2.0 rear camera with dual-LED CCT flash, Phase Detection Autofocus (PDAF), Auto HDR and 4K video recording capabilities. The front facing camera is a 5MP f/2.0 wide-angle with 1.4um pixel for better low light photography and also comes with a front-facing flash.
Similar to other Moto devcies, the X force also comes with nano coating to keep the device safe from the accidental splash of water. Connectivity features on the Moto X Force includes 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac (2.4GHz+5GHz) with MIMO, Bluetooth 4.1 LE, A-GPS and NFC.
The phone packs a 3,760mAh battery which the company claims to be good enough for 2 days. The device also supports turbo and wireless charging. The device is priced Rs 49,999 for the 32GB variant and Rs 53,999 for the 64GB variant. Both the variants will go on sale from February 8 via Flipkart and Amazon and the phone will also be available offline at Croma. It comes in three color— black, grey and white.
