At the Mobile World Congress 2016, Huawei has announced it’s premium Windows 10 2-in-1 device, the Matebook. The device will be a direct competitor to Microsoft’s Surface tablet. Talking about the specifications, Matebook comes with a 12-inch (2160×1440 pixels) IPS display with screen-to-body ratio of 84%.
It is powered by 6th Gen Intel Core M processor coupled with either 4GB or 8GB of RAM depending on the configuration. It also comes in three different storage options- 128/256/512GB SSD.
The tablet also comes with 5MP front-facing camera and also comes with a fingerprint sensor that supports 360-degree sensitive identification and the company claims to the fastest in the industry. Starting at $699/€799, the MateBook is answering the demand for portable, stylish smart devices that allow users to stay connected in any setting.
The device is made of high-quality aluminum unibody that is both elegant and sophisticated. The MateBook features a strong protective body to withstand the rigors of an on-the-go lifestyle, and its slim profile and ultra-low weight of just 640g makes it ideal to take anywhere.
The Matebook comes with a 4430mAh battery, enough power for nine hours of work, nine consecutive hours of Internet use and 29 hours of music playback.
On the connectivity front, it has Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac MIMO, Bluetooth 4.1, USB 3.0 Type-C port.
