Lenovo has been concentrating on the mid range and the budget segment and they have launched two more devices in the affordable segment. The company has announced the Vibe K5 and the K5 Plus at Mobile World Congress 2016 in Barcelona.
In the design aspect, the siblings are made of aluminium, but have exactly the same look and feel, there are changes in the hardware. While the Vibe K5 comes with a 5 inch HD display (1280 X 720p), the K5 Plus has a Full HD panel (1920 X 1080p).
The K5 runs on Snapdragon 415 Octa core processor clocked at 1.4Ghz and the K5 Plus has Snapdragon 616 clocked at 1.5Ghz. Both the devices have 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage. The camera on both the phones are 13MP rear unit with LED flash and 5MP front facing camera for selfies and video calls.
They come with Android 5.1 Lollipop with custom Vibe UI from Lenovo.
Both the phone have 2750mAh battery. There is Dolby Atmos support along with dual SIM cards and 4G LTE.
The Vibe K5 and the Vibe K5 Plus will go on sale in March in select markets in the Asia-Pacific, Europe, Middle-East and Africa with a starting price of $129 for the K5 and $149 for the K5 Plus (approx). We expect the devices to come to India as well.
