Back in November last year, Xiaomi had announced the successor of Redmi Note 2, the all new metallic Redmi Note 3 in China. We had recently done the unboxing of the device. Xiaomi also announced a new variant of Redmi Note 3 powered by the Snapdragon 650 Hexa core processor and this is coming to India on March 3rd.
The new Redmi Note 3 comes with a the same 5.5 inch Full HD display and is powered by Snapdragon 650 Octa Core chipset and comes in 2GB and 3GB RAM variants.
The internal storage is either 16GB or 32GB and there is no expansion slot available on the phone. Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 is the first Mi phone to get a full metal body and fingerprint sensor. On the imaging front, the device comes with 16MP rear camera with Phase Detection Auto focus and also dual tone LED flash.
On the software side the phone comes with MIUI 7 with Android Lollipop. The fingerprint sensor on the rear panel can unlock the device in 0.3 seconds according to the company.
The phone also comes with 4000mAh battery and has dual SIM card and 4G LTE support. It comes in three colors- Silver, Gold and Dark grey. We are expecting the device to be priced around the Rs 11,000 to Rs 12,000 price range in India. It will compete with Le 1s, Vibe K4 Note and Honor 5X in this segment.
