Last year, Xiaomi had announced Mi4c in China as an upgrade to Mi4i launched in India. Now the company has launched the upgraded version of Mi4C, the Xiaomi Mi4S. The Xiaomi Mi4S comes with a 5 inch Full HD display (1920 X 1080p) resolution with IPS LCD panel similar to the Mi4C and it is also powered by the same Snapdragon 808 Hexa-Core processor coupled with 3GB of RAM.
The internal storage is at 64GB which is expandable via micro SD card.
On the imaging front, the Mi4S retains the same camera unit from Mi4C and it packs a 13MP rear camera with dual tone LED flash and a front facing camera for selfies and video calls. The phone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with custom MIUI 7 on top of it. One of the important changes in Mi4S is the metallic frame along with front and rear glass finishing. There is also a fingerprint scanner included in the device which was not available in the Mi4C.
The battery capacity has also been bumped up to 3260mAh on the Mi4S. The connectivity options on the Mi4S includes 4G LTE with VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n/ac dual-band (MIMO), Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and USB Type-C charging cable. The phone comes with dual SIM card support as well.
The Xiaomi Mi4S will come in White, Black, Gold and Pink colors. The pricing of the device is 1699 Yuan which is approximate $260. The phone will be available in China starting March 1st.
