ASUS has released Zenfones in different price categories, right from Zenfone Go to Zenfone 2 Laser, Zenfone 2 and the premium Zenfone Zoom. The company today announced that they would be rolling out Android Marshmallow 6.0 to Zenfone range.
This first set of roll out will happen in March and the 6 phones will be getting the update in this month.
The devices which are getting Marshmallow in March are:
- ZenFone 2 (ZE550ML, ZE551ML)
- ZenFone 2 Deluxe (ZE551ML)
- ZenFone 2 Laser ( ZE500KL, ZE550KL, ZE601KL)
- ZenFone Selfie (ZD551KL)
- ZenFone Max (ZC550KL)
- ZenFone Zoom (ZX551ML)
What to expect when the Android M update:
Google Messenger, Calendar, and Gmail apps will automatically be included with the Android M update. These apps will replace three ZenUI apps—ASUS Messenger, ASUS Mail and ASUS Calendar—as the default apps in the Android M version of ZenUI if you restore to factory settings after the update.
If you restore to factory settings after the update, ASUS Messenger, ASUS Mail and ASUS Calendar can be downloaded from Google Play.
Other devices will be getting Android 6.0 from April although the company has not revealed which all devices will be getting it.
