Along with the announcement of the new iPhone SE, Apple has also announced the new iPad Pro. The new iPad Pro comes in smaller screen size and it packs a 9.7 inch display and it weighs just 1 pound. Apple says that 9.7 is still the most popular size of the iPad and the company has sold over 200 million at that size.
The display on the iPad Pro is 40% less reflective and 25% brighter than the iPad Air 2. It has a “True Tone Display,” which measures the color temperature to the ambient light and adjusts the screen to match.
The iPad Pro comes with A9X processor and is equipped with 4 speakers. It also comes with a custom-sized Smart Keyboard. The iPad Pro comes with the same camera as that of iPhone SE. It has a 12.1MP iSight camera with true tone flash, focus pixels, live photos and panorama. There is also 4k video recording available.
It comes in 4 metal finishes and Rose gold is the new color option available. Apple has also announced new lightning adapters: SD card reader and a powered USB card reader. You can use it with an Ethernet adapter or a microphone.
The 9.7-inch iPad Pro is priced starting at $599 for 32GB variant. The 128GB variant is priced $749 while the new 256GB variant is priced $899. Pre-order for iPad Pro starts March 24th and will be available on March 32st similar to iPhone SE.
