Samsung has announced yet another budget smartphone, the Galaxy J3 (2016) in India. One of the most important aspect of the phone is the new S Bike feature. This basically turns off all the notifications on the device when the user is riding a bike. This is sort of do not disturb mode which can be enabled using NFC.
When riding the bike, if any calls comes in, it will play a message, telling that the phone’s owner is riding a bike and cannot answer the call. But in case of emergency call, the caller can press 1 and the call will go through. Since the phone has Motion lock, you cannot answer the call unless the phone is not under movement.
Other specifications of the phone include a 5 inch Super AMOLED screen HD display and is powered by a quad-core processor with Spreadtrum SC9830 64-bit processor with Mali-400 GPU and coupled with 1.5GB of RAM. There is only 8GB internal storage available, but you can expand via micro SD card.
It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with custom Touchwiz UI from Samsung. On the imaging front, it has 8MP rear camera and 5MP front camera for selfies.
The phone comes with dual SIM card slot, 4G LTE and 2600mAh battery. The Samsung Galaxy J3 (2016) comes in Black, White and Gold colors and it is priced at Rs. 8,990. The phone will exclusively be available through Snapdeal.
