Meizu has announced the successor of the M2 Note launched last year, the M3 Note in China. The Meizu M3 Note comes with a 5.5 inch Full HD 2.5D curved glass display and it is powered by 1.8 GHz Octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 processor with Mali T860 GPU coupled with either a 2GB RAM or a 3GB RAM depending on the variant.
The phone comes with a unibody metallic construction and comes in different colors. The phone has 16GB or 32GB internal storage based on the variant and as usual there is a hybrid micro SD card slot which can be used to expand the storage to 128GB.
On the software side, the phone comes with Flyme OS on top of Android 5.1 Lollipop. This is quite disappointing for a phone launched in 2016 to come with Lollipop. with Android N around the corner, OEMs should think of using Marshmallow. On the camera front, the phone comes with 13MP rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, Phase Detection Auto focus (PDAF) and 5MP front-facing camera.
The phone comes with a fingerprint sensor integrated into the home button. On the connectivity front, it comes with usual options like 4G LTE with voLTE, dual-band WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS. There is also 4100mAh battery included in it.
The Meizu M3 Note comes in three colors- Grey, Silver and Golden. The phone is priced at 799 Yuan in China for the 2GB RAM/16GB variant and 999 Yuan for the 3GB RAM/32GB variant. We expect the device to come to India soon considering that M1 Note and M2 Note were sold in India.
