Xiaomi had announced the launch of Mi5 in India. Mi5 comes with a 5.15 inch Full HD display with a resolution of 1920 X 1080p and is powered by the most powerful processor, the Snapdragon 820 Quad core chipset coupled with 3GB of RAM and Adreno 530 GPU and 32GB internal storage.

Xiaomi Mi5 is the first device to run Snapdragon 820 processor in India, which is considered to be the most powerful processor for smartphones.
Xiaomi Mi5 is priced Rs 24,999 and will be available on Mi.com. In this article we will list out the pros and cons of Xiaomi Mi5.
Pros:
1. Excellent Build Quality and design: Xiaomi Mi5 is one of the good looking premium devices out there will excellent material quality as well. It comes with curved glass with Gorilla glass 4 protection on front and rear. It has a metal frame and the build quality is very good.
2. Powerful Processor: As we mentioned before this is the first device to come with Snapdragon 820 chipset in India and the device is really powerful in terms of performance.
3. Excellent camera: The 16MP rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, Phase detection auto focus (PDAF), OIS and 4K video recording support. The front camera on the device is a 4MP unit with 2um pixel size. Photos taken from the device show excellent clarity and sharpness levels. It also comes with 4 axis Optical Image Stabilization making the videos look great.
4. Good Display: While most of the flagships have moved to Quad HD display, Mi5 ships with a Full HD display. But having said that Xiaomi has made sure that the display performs well with sunlight display and addition of extra LEDs.
5. Customizable Navigation Keys: The home button also acts as the fingerprint sensor, but it also comes with capacitive touch. The two other buttons for back and multi tasking can be interchanged based on your usage.
6. MIUI 7: The phone comes with the latest MIUI 7.2 which adds a lot of new features and the skin is highly customizable with themes which you can download from the theme store. MIUI brings in a refreshing change to Android especially if you liked customization.
7. USB C Type Charging with Quick Charge 3.0: The phone comes with USB C type slot for charging and it also includes the latest quick charge 3.0 from Qualcomm. This should be able to charge the 3000mAh battery in quick time.
8. Slim and Lightweight: The design is one of the best aspects of the phone and it is just 7.3mm thick and only 129gms in weight making it one of the lightest flagship phones.
9 Price: While Samsung Galaxy S7 is priced almost Rs 48,000 in India, Mi5 is available for almost half the pricing which makes the device more accessible for buyers.
Cons:
1. Only 32GB storage variant: Xiaomi will only sell 32GB variants as of now. While this shouldn’t be an issue for most users, the lack of micro SD card support and also no 64GB version could be disappointing for many users.
2. Under clocked CPU: The Mi5 being sold in India will come with Snapdragon 820 clocked at 1.8Ghz while the other editions are clocked at 2.15Ghz. Also, there is only 3GB RAM variant as of now.
3. Not all colors are on sale: Xiaomi will initially sell only white variants in India and this might be a disappointment for many buyers as black variant looks better than any other color.
