Xiaomi has today announced the company’s new phablet, the Mi Max. After teasing the device ahead of its launch on social sites, the massive 6.44 inch phablet from Xiaomi has gone official today. The Xiaomi Mi Max comes with a massive 6.44 inch Full HD display with 2.5D glass and LCD panel. The phone runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 650/652 Hexa core processor, the same SoC found on the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 released in India.
The device is coupled either a 3GB or 4GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage along with 32GB and 64GB variants. It also features a hybrid SIM where you can expand the storage using micro SD card.
The phone comes with MIUI 8 and has lot of new features to offer in terms of software. It will also offer the one handed mode in MIUI for larger screens. Even with the huge size, the MI Max is just 7.5mm thin and 203gms. The phone is finished on a metallic chassis like the Redmi Note 3 with a fingerprint scanner located on the rear panel.
On the imaging front, the phone packs a 16MP sensor with dual tone LED flash, similar to the one on Redmi note 3. The front facing selfie camera is at 5MP.
The phone supports dual SIM card and 4G LTE with VoLTE. Apart from this there is usual connectivity options like Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Infrared and USB C type cable.
Mi Max comes with a massive 4850mAh battery. Mi Max will come in three colors- silver, gold and light gray version.
