One of the main issues faced by smartphone users till date is the battery life. There has been quite a lot of innovation in smartphone hardware, but battery performance has always been a concern. While we saw quite a lot of OEMs increasing the battery capacity for better performance, we now have better and quicker charging technology.
Quick Charge 3.0 from Qualcomm is a new technology announced towards the end of last year and it can charge the smartphones in quick time.
What is Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0?
Quick Charge 3.0 is a new technology using which devices can be charged four times faster than regular charging technology, which means you can start using the device quickly. It also works twice as fast as Quick Charge 1.0 and 38% faster than Quick Charge 2.0.
Quick Charge 3.0 employs Intelligent Negotiation for Optimum Voltage (INOV), a new algorithm which allows your device to determine what power level to request at any point in time, enabling optimum power transfer while maximizing efficiency.
Quick Charge 3.0 is supported on Snapdragon 820, 620, 618, 617, and 430 chipsets. So in case you are looking for a new smartphone with QC 3.0, here are your options.
