Motorola has finally announced the new generation Moto G devices in India. Unlike previous generation, there are two devices this time, the Moto G4 and G4 Plus. Both the phones come with upgraded 1080p (Full HD) display when compared to HD display on previous generation. The display size has also been increased to 5.5 inches.
The new Moto G4 runs on upgraded Snapdragon 617 Octa core chipset with either 2GB or 3GB of RAM. The internal storage depends on the RAM and there is 16GB storage on 2GB RAM and 32GB storage on 3GB RAM variant. There is also micro SD card expansion slot which supports up to 128GB.
The main difference between the G4 and G4 plus are the fingerprint scanner and camera. The G4 does not feature a fingerprint while the G4 Plus has a fingerprint scanner integrated into the home button. The camera on the G4 is a 13MP shooter while the G4 plus gets a better 16MP shooter. There is also laser autofocus and PDAF. The front camera is 5MP.
On the software side, as usual it comes with Android 6.0 Marshmallow and does not include any third party apps or bloatwares.
The phone comes with dual SIM cards and supports the regular connectivity options including 4G LTE with VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS. The battery capacity of the phone is 3000mAh and it supports turbo charging.
Moto G4 Plus will be available on Amazon starting tonight while Moto G4 will be available next month. The G4 Plus is priced Rs 13,499 for 2GB/16GB variant while the 3GB/32GB variant is priced Rs 14,999.
