Amazon’s popular music streaming platform and online music store have gone live in India. Amazon had previously launched the Amazon Prime video in India with an affordable prime subscription. Now the company has made available the music streaming service in India. Amazon had tied up with music labels Saregama and Zee Music to stream its catalog content. The app is now available in Play store in India and you can sign in with your existing Prime subscription.
We tested the app and it has support for most of the Indian languages and you can select your preferred language when you set up the app for the first time. Since we are already using Amazon prime and Amazon, it was able to auto-detect my prime account and sign in with it.
As of now the content available for regional languages are very limited, but we expect this to improve in the coming days. Another good feature is that there is support for Alexa in the app and you can use voice commands to play songs or search for them.
From the settings menu, you can change your language preference and also download preference over Wi-Fi and cellular networks. The music quality looks pretty good along with a neat interface.
You can download the app from the Play store using the link below.
